The uncertainty of love and death continues to be fascinated by Alain Guiraudie (stranger by the lake), who returns with a sharp, threatening but cunning funny thriller. His latest in the autumn, in a wild village in his native Occitanie region, is followed by Jélix Kysyl, which is outside the working baker, who, after the death of his beloved former boss, has returned to his hometown. Long after the funeral, the seemingly benign Jérémie starts to go into the family of his mentor, including his kind widow (Catherine Frot) and the poisonously angry son (Jean-Baptista Duranda), while at the same time surprisingly surprising (Jacque Develay) with an increasingly fun-Jacque Develay. Guiraudie quietly in the carnal world, violence and eroticism explode with a little waiting, and criminal behavior may seem like a natural extension of physical desire. The French director is at the top of his game in Misericordia, again eliminating all the genre’s expectations.
